BYD Nepal Installs 11 DC Chargers In Major Cities Across Nepal

Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co. Ltd. in Nepal, has achieved a noteworthy milestone in the electric mobility sphere with the installation of 11 DC Fast Chargers across key locations in the country.

The newly installed DC Fast Chargers have been placed in major cities, including Pokhara, Nepalgunj, Butwal, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Narayanghat, Anamnagar, Mulkot, Birtamode, Naxal, and Guheshwari. Among these, 10 chargers boast a power output of 30 kW, while the charger installed in Mulkot is equipped with a robust 60 kW DC Fast Charger, catering to the high demand of EV users travelling to Eastern Nepal.

In response to the growing demand for electric vehicle charging, Cimex has also announced its plans to further amplify the charging network. Additionally, 18 DC Fast Chargers are slated to be operational by the end of December 2023, marking a substantial leap towards providing widespread access to electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

BYD EVs in the Nepalese market, the BYD Atto 3, supports up to 88 kW of DC Fast Charging, whereas the BYD Dolphin is capable of up to 60 kW of power intake. This allows for up to 80% charge in as little as 30 to 45 minutes in BYD EVs.
